We listen to our thoughts all of the time Notice your thoughts – if your thoughts – go ahead and quickly close your eyes and notice your inner dialogue. Are your thoughts supportive and in alignment with your idea of happiness and in pursuit of your goals? Or are they more criticizing and full of judgment? What are you listening to? What drives you – criticism or complements? Last evening I had the opportunity of teaching a class where I suggested each person to scan their thoughts – noticing what they generally listen to and then I asked them to share their results. Most reported that they listen to the negative. – there wasn't a one who would be OK with someone else talking to them the way they talk to themselves. The thoughts we listen to manifest our reality. Peace of mind is an inside job. So, what is the Secret? – if you haven’t viewed this dynamic collection of Universal laws presented as a guide for you to have what you want then watching this is a must! No, I don’t get any royalties; I do get the pleasure of sharing it which I believe adds quality to our daily living. Imagine a messy desk piled of papers – a bit much huh? When your desk is cleared, you feel more productive. Use this analogy – imagine closing your eyes and gathering all your thoughts and putting them in a room and closing the door. (You’ll be able to open that door any time you choose.) The space they once filled is now open. Focus on your breath. Remind yourself ‘focus on my breath’ even when the thoughts reappear, send them to that room and continue to focus on your breath and you might notice the silence, peace, perhaps a response from God. Initially, this exercise might seem really difficult and a challenge to experience. Two seconds without the chatter/thoughts going on is a huge accomplishment; with practice it enables you to enjoy this quietness from your thoughts longer. Each day of practice develops an inner strength of power to change your life. Should this exercise be short of impossible to accomplish, you’ve got too much on your mind – a better method might be for you to give me a call at 509.585.9683. My 30 minute complimentary consultation is a resource available to help you with improving the quality of your life. Take charge! You decide the thoughts you're thinking rather than succumbing to default - you're worth it May your week be filled with wonderful surprises! Smiles to you! Glenda |
